The starting point. New models, no method, and a lot of time spent finding out what the things were actually good at.

The subject settled early and never moved: future worlds, imagined far enough to hold together. What changed since is control, not ambition.

I keep this volume up because it is honest about the beginning. Some frames still work, and the ones that do not are the reason volume two looks the way it does.
