Web design & development vol. 2

The middle years: responsive arrived, everything got rebuilt, and I found out which frameworks were worth keeping.

Web design, Front-end, WordPress

This volume covers the years when the whole craft moved. Fixed 960 grids gave way to fluid ones, then to a phone-first way of thinking that made half of my earlier habits useless.

Same working method as always: concept, design, code, launch, then years of support. Frameworks where they helped, hand-written CSS where they got in the way, and a lot of nights spent making old browsers behave.

Some of these sites outlived the agencies that commissioned them. That is not a boast about my code, it is what happens when a build is simple enough to keep running.
